The Question The Mainstream Media Refuse to Ask
What kind of police culture aids a police officer to sexually assault a 6-year-old child when he attended a family home as part of a team of three officers? Just what were the other two police officers doing?
The Cultural Red Flags
1. The Code of Silence
When officers witness misconduct, they face an impossible choice: speak up and be ostracised, or stay quiet and become complicit. I've watched good officers, dedicated to protecting our community, get systematically pushed out for daring to question their colleagues. This isn't about "a few bad apples" - it's about a culture that punishes integrity and rewards silence. Don’t believe me? Ask MAGGIE OLIVER.
2. The Protection Racket
Inside Oldham's police force, loyalty trumps everything - even child safety. Look at Operation Sherwood and Operation Hexagon: investigations derailed, whistleblowers targeted, failed malicious prosecution after malicious communication. Even survivors of CSE have been threatened.
Then we have the so-called Professional Standards Directorate. Instead of investigating complaints; it buries them. An example, how about officers investigating complaints contact you from do not reply email addresses and no phone number to contact them on? When protecting fellow officers becomes more important than protecting victims, we must ask: Who is this system really serving?
3. The Power Structure
The most chilling aspect? This culture is by design. Predators don't just happen to find safe harbour in Oldham's police force - they thrive because the system helps hide them. They rise through the ranks. They influence policies. They determine which complaints get investigated and which get buried. In a culture where power protects power, every badge becomes a potential weapon against the vulnerable. Again, don’t believe me? Ask ANDY BURNHAM how many times GMP Oldham let Shabir ‘Daddy’ Ahmed go? My calculation is nine times.
The Challenge
We're not just fighting individual predators - we're fighting a culture that has forgotten its most sacred duty: to police without fear or favour. True policing means pursuing justice regardless of who the perpetrator is - even if they wear the same uniform as them. Even if they are the politicians that can help promote them. Until officers are ready to police their own with the same rigour they police the public, every child in Oldham remains at risk. Until officers are ready to police council officials and politicians with the same rigour they police the public, every police force across the country is at risk.
Raja Miah MBE
My name is Raja Miah. I am responsible for the Recusant Nine platform. For six years, I've been the wall between Oldham's corrupt administration and their complete takeover of our town. Not because I'm brave. Not because I'm fearless. But because I refuse to watch them destroy the town I call my home.
Here's the truth they don't want you to face: Without my determination and refusal to surrender, you wouldn't know about:
- The systematic grooming coverups
- The political infiltration of our police
- The orchestrated intimidation of whistleblowers
- The corruption eating away at our town's heart
But I can't fight this battle alone. Your support isn't just about keeping me going. It's about protecting our community. It's about standing up to corruption. It's about saving our town. Here's how you join the fight:
