During this week's Oldham Council meeting, more happened than just SHAH succeeded in taking the town another step closer to tyranny. The fake independents HOBIN, HINDLE, NAVESEY and HINCE showed themselves for what they really were as they consistently voted with Labour including blocking an amendment that would have introduced compulsory DBS checks for all elected representatives.

Now ask yourself why a councillor would vote against undertaking an enhanced DBS check and refuse to publish the results of police checks alongside their Declaration of Interests?

More than just about safeguarding children, should we not know if our elected representatives are convicted drug dealers, fraudsters or serial wife beaters? For instance, would you let a councillor into your house if you previously had sight of their enhanced DBS check that revealed concerns about rape? How about inappropriate behaviour with animals or drink driving?

It's not like if the Council funded OLDHAM TIMES is going to share any information on the convictions of councillors, especially after they failed to report on how a senior councillor was convicted of child sex offences. Those familiar with the politics of Oldham will know of the mainstream media's ongoing protection of gangland associated politicians and their criminal family members.
