Is the UK Playing With Fire and becoming a breeding ground for Jihadists available for hire?
Introduction
On the 21st June 2021, alarmed by the exploitation of antisemitism in my own community, and where I feared this would lead to, I wrote an article in response to the Elbit Factory protests in my home town of Oldham. I published this on my Medium page titled For The Muslim, Never Mind The Many.
I was subsequently arrested by six police officers from ANDY BURNHAM’s Greater Manchester Police. They raided my home in the early hours of the morning claiming I had committed a racially motivated public order offence for refusing to remain silent to antisemitism in my own community. Six months later, and on the last day possible, they finally charged me for a lesser offence. As I write this, I am still waiting for clarification of who I have offended or what it is that I have written that has caused offence. Before leaving the police station, DS CHRIS DEAN attempted to censor me by suggesting that I would be re arrested for intimidating witnesses if I continued to lawfully campaign against AROOJ SHAH and her corrupt Labour Party run Council in the lead up to May’s local elections in Oldham.
I am in no doubt whatsoever that what is taking place is an attempt by an in accelerated Special Measures proven paedophile protecting Greater Manchester Police to aid an equally corrupt Council which has also been exposed for covering up the grooming and gang rape of the town's children. That DS CHRIS DEAN and his colleagues from Greater Manchester Police are now resorting to attempting to interfere in an election is astonishing.
Tapping into Hate
Whenever the target is Israel, it is easy to tap into the global Ummah narrative and galvanise support from amongst Muslims. Recruitment is straightforward for those that know how to exploit the increasing propensity amongst UK Muslims to self identify as Muslims before any other aspect of their identity. Combining their Muslim first identity with a growing tendency to look at the world through a lens where they (the Muslims) are the victims of Western oppression creates fertile ground for pro Palestinian campaigners. More dangerously, for many Muslims, the journey towards extremism also begins on the issue of Israel and Palestine.
Subsequently, I was not at all surprised how Palestine Action’s campaign in Oldham gained traction, Targeting the Jewish owned Elbit factory, the well oiled anti Israel message resonated equally well across the full spectrum of Oldham’s Muslim communities. Senior Labour Party politicians, devout Muslim elders, disaffected Muslim youth and even convicted heroin dealing mobsters in need of a makeover more than fitting burglar alarms or Just for Men could provide them with, all came together and united under the banner of Free Palestine. Previously watching on helpless, unable to aid their Muslim brethren in the Middle East, Palestine Action’s direct action campaign to shut down Elbit finally provided an opportunity for Oldham’s Muslims to take the fight to the Zionists and strike a blow against Israel.
I watched on bemused as those that had previously taken to the streets celebrating Pakistan’s acquisition of a nuclear bomb transform overnight in to CND style peace activists. Whatever next I pondered? Maybe a boom in Vegan Doner kebab sales? Or possibly a rise in card payment only chicken shops?
Many of my own Muslim friends also began sharing social media posts and attending protests. Knowing they would be honest with me, I asked them their motivation. Why share posts about a conflict thousands of miles away whilst remaining silent to the grooming and gang rape of children on your doorsteps? Perhaps too controversial a comparison, I offered up their indifference to the many Environmental protests or even the Marcus Rashford campaign for free school meals. Their responses was as I had suspected.
- This mattered more because the Muslims were the victims. The campaign resonated with how they viewed themselves, first and foremost, as Muslims.
- Their desire to help fellow Muslims, particularly victims of Western oppression, also connected with their own experiences of Islamophobia. As far as they were concerned, fighting for Palestine was the same as fighting the injustices they experienced as Muslims here in the United Kingdom.
- Of equal significance was that not only was Elbit producing arms components that were being used by Israel to kill Palestinians, the company was also Jewish owned.
Evident in all of my exchanges with friends that I spoke with was the undercurrent of anti Jewish prejudice. Sometimes it was not even an undercurrent and there was no attempts to disguise their racism. It was the casual type, the use of language and derogatory stereotypes similar to what I found used by old people in predominantly White Council Estate towards people who looked like I do. So ingrained, many were unaware of their own prejudices. This included the unconscious interchanging of the word Jew and Israel. To them, they were own and the same.
The History of Hatred
I was left in no doubt of what was being played out when I saw pictures of the protests against this Jewish owned business being excitedly shared once they became violent. Exploiting ingrained prejudices and the antisemitic undercurrent amongst Oldham’s Muslim communities, the smashing of windows of a Jewish owned business was celebrated.
I do not believe that ignorance should ever be considered a legitimate excuse for prejudice and racism. Though many of the protesters did not know of the symbolism of smashing the windows of a Jewish owned business, those that lead our town did. The mainstream media and the police also knew. Yet despite this, not one of them called this out for what it actually was. This was more than a political protest. This was an antisemitic hate crime.
Contrary to my critics slurs, who cannot seem to make their minds up on how to best discredit and demonise me, and so find themselves shifting their allegations from one moment claiming that I am a far right activist to then accusing me of grooming and sexually exploiting White girls, I am a decorated anti racist with a flawless record of working with children and young people from across all communities. With an award winning career spanning 25 years, I have been at the forefront of best practice in designing and delivering interventions that have helped keep our country safe from extremist exploitation. Which is why, whilst the politicians and the press remained silent, I felt compelled to speak out against the dangerous Kristallnacht type symbolism of what I believe was really meant by smashing the windows of a Jewish owned business.
Bizarrely, when interviewed following my arrest due to my refusal to remain silent, DS CHRIS DEAN and his colleague accused me of antisemitism! Their reasoning was that I had used the term Kristallnacht. In a twisted interpretation of reality only the stupid or desperate could present, apparently I could hypothetically have caused offence to a Holocaust survivor through my use of the word and likening the smashing of windows of a Jewish owned business here and now with what happened in Nazi Germany. According to them, I was the racist! Hence why they needed six police officers to arrest me in a dawn raid at my home. Anyone else buying this?
The Labour Party — Racists or Just Ransomed?
I had coined the headline For the Muslim, Never mind the Many from the Labour Party manifesto slogan For the Many, Not the Few. Moved by a powerful photograph of the Jewish protests against antisemitism within the Labour Party, I expanding on their powerful play on words, For the Many, Not the Jew, and used my headline and accompanying article to present my argument of why the Labour Party are antisemitic.
I believe the Labour Party’s proven antisemitism, in part, stems from their fear of losing support from the block Muslim vote that they rely on. Much more now as a consequence of their now well publicised betrayal of the White Working classes.Knowing they cannot risk this all important block vote, senior figures in the Labour Party are prepared to remain silent on antisemitism. As demonstrated via recent events, some within the Party are even prepared to openly endorse the antisemitic prejudices prevalent within the Muslim community.
Those that actually read my blog post and have a basic level of comprehension skills would have clearly understood the purpose of my narrative. They would have understood why I extensively criticised AROOJ SHAH, the new Pakistani Muslim Labour Party leader of Oldham Council, for supporting the anti Israeli protests in the manner that she did. In addition, they would have understood why I criticised DEBBIE ABRAHAMS MP for her actions in sharing a platform with an organisation that had celebrated its criminal behaviour, including the smashing of windows of a Jewish owned business in her own constituency. In a later newspaper interview, this was something that she herself attempted to distance herself from after she had been repeatedly criticised for her actions by members of the public.
Likewise, I condemned the cowardly silence from the town’s other MP, JIM McMAHON. Having himself chaired the campaign to revise the Labour Party’s stance on antisemitism, added with his mother’s conversion to Islam and his own attraction to nibbling samosas in Muslim households, he would have been all too aware of the racist motivation of many of the protesters.
I also commented that I was not surprised to see that the protest was overwhelmingly attended by Muslims from Oldham’s Pakistani community and that the attendance of Labour Party politicians to support them was therefore inevitable. As well as making up the majority of Muslims in the town, Oldham’s Pakistani community provides a powerful block vote in support of the Labour Party and its politicians. So powerful, that in the 2019 General Election, as a consequence of the Muslim block vote, DEBBIE ABRAHAMS still retained her parliamentary seat even though she lost heavily in the majority of wards in her constituency. The data is clear, she owed her seat to the support she received from the Pakistani stronghold of St Mary’s ward.
All Prejudices Matter
Sadly, nor was I surprised to see so many Muslim children at the protests. Some of these openly waved home made banners that I doubt they had an appreciation of the actual meaning of. Though I’m not sure what would have happened if they had understood the underlying code of the words used and recognised they were anti Semitic. My suspicion is that they would have carried on waving them anyway.
I accept that prejudices exist within all communities, and within the predominantly Pakistani & Bangladeshi communities that make up the majority of the UK’s Muslim population, antisemitism is alive and well. Just as groups like the EDL exploit the grooming gangs to legitimise their anti-Muslim hatred, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has long been used to camouflage the hatred towards Jews within the Muslim communities.
I do not consider either Cllr AROOJ SHAH or DEBBIE ABRAHAMS MP to be blind, deaf or naive. They would have seen the banners and heard the chants at the protest where they spoke. And they would have also been all too aware of how the Palestinian conflict has been used for decades by Islamist groups to recruit and radicalise young people. Even the Priest who au paired the event, Father PHIL SUMNER, from Oldham’s Inter Faith Forum, used his introductory remarks to warn against antisemitism.
I fear that through their combined endorsement of the protest against a Jewish owned factory and their reluctance to speak out against and challenge antisemitism within Oldham’s Muslim communities, AROOJ SHAH, DEBBIE ABRAHAMS & JIM McMAHON risk much more than legitimising racism or endorsing criminal attacks.
Not that Oldham’s Labour Party politicians are alone in their selective commitment to equality and human rights. This is a disease that infests the Labour Party across the country, particularly in areas where they are reliant on a block Muslim vote to hold on to power.
From Little Acorns Grow
As events in a synagogue in the United States over the weekend have since demonstrated, the Labour Party pandering to prejudices within the Muslim community has more than just devastating consequences at a local level. We already know why JIM McMAHON MP chooses to exclusively meet with Muslim men that discriminate against women and exclude them from their gatherings. We understand why DEBBIE ABRAHAMS MP grandstands on the human rights abuses in Kashmir whilst remaining, in comparison, silent on the grooming and gang rape of children from the gates of a school in her own constituency. In a town like Oldham, with leaked documents now confirming the Labour Party run Council covered up the Grooming Gangs, we know all too well the power of the block Muslim vote and what unscrupulous politicians are prepared to do to maintain it. Now we learn of the devastating consequences the actions of Labour Party politicians can have elsewhere.
I was not in the least surprised to read that the terrorist shot dead, MALIK FAISAL AKRAM was a Pakistani Muslim with a criminal past from a Labour Party controlled Northern town in the United Kingdom. Nor was I at all surprised to read that he had taken part in pro-Palestinian protests and was an active member of the Labour Party in his home town of Blackburn. And I suppose that it was predictable that within hours of the events at the synagogue in Texas ending with the shooting dead of this terrorist, counter terrorism police desperately playing catch up, arrested and then released without charge 2 teenagers in Manchester.
By now, the familiar red flags have all been ticked off. MALIK FAISAL AKRAM had a criminal past, his extremist views were known to the security services and his pro Palestinian activism, through which he most likely found a home for his antisemitic beliefs, is all information in the public domain. However, it is only now that a brave few analysts and political commentators are starting to also make reference to the role of the Labour Party in his radicalisation process and the spotlighting of the dangerous prejudices that flourish in areas of the country under their stewardship.
Just as in the case of SHABIR AHMED, the ringleader of the Rochdale Grooming gang who was also an active member of the Labour Party in Oldham, I do not believe that the presence of the Labour Party can continue to be ignored or disregarded just as a co-incidence. And whilst no two extremist journeys are exactly the same, the political landscape where this cancer spreads is plain to see for anyone with the courage to do so.
A Cancer Within
On 28 May 2019, the Equality & Human Rights Commission launched an investigation into the Labour Party, following serious public concern about allegations of antisemitism and a number of formal complaints made to them. This is an extract from their damning findings finally published in January 2021.
Unfortunately, as with the avoidance in every one of the Grooming Gang reports, the obvious question remained unanswered. It is not a matter of if this took place, rather it is a question of why it did? Why is it nearly always exclusively Labour Party towns where the Grooming Gangs have operated and their crimes were covered up? Why is it, in contrast to the other mainstream political parties, that the Labour Party is the one infested by anti Semites and so accepting of a culture of antisemitism?
It is my position that JIM McMAHON, DEBBIE ABRAHAMS, AROOJ SHAH and their likeminded associates in the Labour Party are playing with fire. Pandering to prejudices in exchange for a block Muslim vote from the Muslim community is more than just counter the values of a liberal Western democracy. Their actions threaten the future of our nation.
I do not seek to scaremonger or spread fear with my analysis. The self serving actions of mainly liberal White politicians, supported by a layer of equally contemptuous and privileged White senior policy makers and public officials, now risks the United Kingdom becoming a breeding ground for a new generation of Jihadists for hire.
I fear that there is no longer any need to travel to training camps in Afghanistan, or study scriptures in a madrasa in the Maghreb, to train in Jihad. And instead, this generation’s extremists are being raised and radicalised in plain sight in the Red Wall heartlands, where to cling on to power, the Labour Party is now dependent on the green mortar of the Muslim block vote.
Do Not Fear Them. Do Not Fear Any Of Them.
Raja Miah MBE
For the last 3 years, I have exposed Council corruption and the cover up of the grooming and gang rape of children in my home town of Oldham. Providing a voice to the betrayed, demonised and oppressed working class communities, I have used my skills and expertise to help hold powerful politicians and public officials to account for their actions.
The consequence of my work has resulted in the endorsement of my murder by the leader of Oldham Council, Cllr AROOJ SHAH. The Oldham MPs JIM McMAHON & DEBBIE ABRAHAMS have attempted to frame me for crimes I did not commit and even police officers from a proven corrupt and paedophile protecting in accelerated Special Measures Greater Manchester Police have arrested me in a desperate attempt to silence me.
