It’s deeply concerning, yet completely unsurprising, that a senior Pakistani Labour Party politician in Oldham, Cllr SAHID MUSHTAQ, used a full Council meeting to make malicious and unfounded allegations against an innocent White woman—falsely accusing her of involvement with the far-right. For anyone familiar with the town's political landscape, this behaviour is all too predictable from a politician who frequently plays the victim of racism.
