In the lead up to the General Election, ZAFFAR IQBAL stood as the Oldham Group endorsed candidate in Oldham West, Chadderton and Royton. A so called Human Rights lawyer, IQBAL went on international news to call for a ONE STATE SOLUTION to the conflict in the Middle East. To avoid any ambiguity, the practicing solicitor went on to confirm that this one state should be Palestine.

IQBAL was also endorsed by a number of community leaders. One of them was a man called SHAH NAWAZ. This endorsement by NAWAZ, a 30 year friend of IQBAL's was initially shared on social media by IQBAL and the sectarian OLDHAM GROUP. It has since been removed. This follows SHAH NAWAZ being exposed taking to the streets of Bangladesh with a machine gun.

Incredulously, SHA NAWAZ is now back in Oldham where he has secured a role at a local solicitors firm. My understanding is that he was allowed entry in to the UK despite facing multiple murder charges in Bangladesh. In typical Cartel style of Oldham politics, neither GMP, the town's politicians nor the local press appear willing to issue a statement on a machine gun maniac. Likewise, the usually vocal OLDHAM GROUP have all gone silent on the issue. Just as they have gone silent on fighting for Palestine.

As for ZAFFER IQBAL, after fighting for Gaza and supporting the campaign to boycott brands that that the pro Palestinian campaigners believe supports Israel, he went on holiday to the United States. So much for standing in solidarity.
