Urgent Action Needed: National Inquiry into Pakistani Rape Gangs

Please find below my draft of the letter/email that should be sent to your local councillor demanding an Extraordinary Council Meeting. The aim is to keep the correspondence clear and focused.

Dear Councillor,

Following national outrage over the Government’s refusal to hold a Public Inquiry into the systemic abuse of working-class White girls by Pakistani heritage grooming gangs, the Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, has announced five local inquiries instead.

This response is wholly inadequate. The Home Secretary is fully aware that these local inquiries lack the statutory powers to compel witnesses or properly investigate the evidence. What is being proposed is not justice - it is yet another attempt to continue the cover-up.

I therefore urge you, as my local councillor, to meet with your colleagues and convene an Extraordinary Council Meeting to present the following motion instructing the Council to write to the government demanding a National Inquiry:

"The people of [INSERT TOWN/CITY] stand with all survivors of Pakistani heritage rape gangs and demand that the Home Secretary immediately launch a full National Inquiry into the cover-up of the grooming and gang rape of this nation’s children."

This is a moment for leadership. Survivors and their families deserve truth, justice, and accountability. I look forward to your response.
